Patchogue (/ˈpætʃɒɡ/, PATCH-awg) is a village in Suffolk County, New York, United States. Patchogue lies on the south shore of Long Island, adjoining Great South Bay, in the town of Brookhaven. It is approximately 60 miles (100 km) east of Manhattan.
North Patchogue and East Patchogue border Patchogue in the north and east respectively. Blue Point sits in the west, facing south is Patchogue Bay. Of the total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km²), 89.29% or 2.2 square miles (5.8 km2) is land and 10.71% or 0.26 sq mi (0.67 km2) is water.
Montauk Highway traverses across the middle of the city that runs over a narrow creek connected to Great Patchogue Lake and West Lake, it is adjoined with Medford Ave right in the east border that continues up north leading to Medford. Waverly Ave, River Ave, West Ave, N Ocean Ave and S Ocean Ave are the 5 major roads that intersect with Montauk Highway.
Patchogue has places of worship of various Christian denominations that are on the National Register of Historic Places: The Congregational Church on East Main Street, United Methodist Church on South Ocean Avenue between Church Street and Terry Street, and the St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Rider Avenue across from Terry Street. Most business establishments including Frank M Weeks Yacht Yard River on 10 Riverview Ct, and Patchogue Beach Club on 16 Maiden Ln can be reached by taking River Ave and S Ocean Ave with the latter mostly passing through the residential areas.
